Crock Pots

Nowadays a new type of cooking has been developed which is called as a Crockpot cooking and is done in a crock pot a type of slow cooker. The crock pot is made up of three parts namely the Housing, the Crock and the Lid. It is somewhat different from the slow cooker. In slow cooker the heating element is in the bottom whereas the heating element is around the edge of the crock pot. The Housing of the Crock Pot is of alloy or plastic and an aluminum liner having the heating element. The crock is a pot of crockery which is kept inside the Housing. Crock is the pot where the ingredients are put for cooking.

To make the cleaning easy the crock pot has a removable crock. The lid is used to cover the top. Transparent lids are mostly used as it helps to see the food without lifting its lid. It comes with two heat settings- low and high. While cooking food it does not heat up the kitchen like other appliance, that doesn’t mean it can only be used in summer. It is all- season appliance. When you cook something on a stovetop or oven you need to be watchful so that the food doesn’t get burnt. This is not the case in Crockpot, once you put the ingredients you can spend time with your family and not in the kitchen.
