Ingredients:
- 1 melon, sweet and ripe
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- ½ mug of strong coffee
- 1 tablespoon of cognac (French brandy)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Preparation:
Cut the melon in half and discard the seeds. Scoop the flesh into balls, using a melon baller and reserve the shells. Place the melon balls in a bowl. Chill.
For The Dressing:
Mix the sugar, coffee, cognac and lemon juice in a bowl. Stir well until the sugar dissolves. Pour the dressing over the chilled melon balls, toss well, then spoon the mixture into the melon shells and chill again until serving. |
